The Program begins in September and runs till the end of June. There are breaks during the Winter and Spring, shadowing the school calendar.
The athletes will be on the ice every other day according to their class period schedule. Ice sessions are instructed by professional skills instructors for 1 hr a session.
Athletes are tested in 5 exercises that will test their straight speed Fwds & Bwds, Agility, Transitions, Passing and Shooting. Testing is done periodically through out the program to track progress.
Yes, since the program is a 'class' there will be take home assigned to be submitted for weight towards final grade.
Our program does not create a team to compete against other academies. We play inter-squad scrimmages in order to apply skills learnt in class. Competition varies as players will get to play against a large variety of skill and ability.
